Zayn Malik returns to Twitter a day after quitting

After tweeting his 5 million followers of his decision to quit Twitter over the abuse he'd got on there, One Direction hunk Zayn Malik has signed up again.

His stand-off lasted about a day.

Announcing his return, Zayn tweeted: "Sorry, I was getting some abuse on twitter but I dont want to let my fans down. So I am back!! :) x"

He will have to build up his following again but nearly 300,000 followers have returned.

No word on the specific reasons for his departure or his return, but we're gonna guess some management types would rather him be on Twitter than off it.

Anyway, good to have you back, Zayn!
