Mt. Union student found with ?an assembly line? of marijuana-trafficking items

Police arrested a Mount Union university student they found with marijuana and drug paraphernalia laid out in his bedroom ?like an assembly line,? Stark County Jail records said.

Alexander C. Woodard, 20, of 626 Hartshorn St., Apt. B-4, which is student housing located on university property, was arrested at 5 p.m. Friday at his home, the jail records said. He is listed as a student at the University of Mount Union.

Police seized an undisclosed amount of marijuana that he had? prepared for sale, digital scales and baggies that had been ?set out like an assembly line in his townhouse bedroom,? the jail records said.

They also seized records of sales and money owed, cash believed to be the proceeds of the illegal drug sales, three and a half amphetamine and Adderall prescription pills for which he had no prescription, rolling papers, a marijuana pipe and a marijuana grinder.

In a news release late Friday night, police said the arrest was the result of a 30-day investigation during which the illegal drugs were being sold on university property. During their investigation, police made numerous marijuana purchases.

Woodard was jailed on charges of marijuana trafficking, aggravated drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was scheduled to appear at 1 p.m.Wednesday in Alliance Municipal Court.
